Welcome! I am Mrs. Mirino and I will be your History teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. I am super excited and am looking forward to a good year with you in my classroom!!!! Along the way, through the learning process, we will have a few guidelines to follow to keep all of us sane. The following is an outline of some of the expectations we will have as a class. #ExpectExpectations Daily Procedures: In order to keep structure in the class we will follow a basic pattern almost everyday in the class. If there is a change in the routine it will be highlighted on the board so that we all know what is going on throughout the day. #Routine #OrderintheRoom #GrabyourBinder #I'llfillyouin Do now: Somedays when you enter the room there will be a question on the board that will be used as review of the previous day and introduction in the upcoming lesson. Please use the section in your binder labeled “do now/bell ringer” to answer these questions. After about five minutes, we will discuss the bell ringer as a class. #DoNOW #AlwaysSomethingToDO
Daily Lesson: My lesson style and topic for Social Studies will vary from day to day, but you can always find a daily schedule posted on the board. Assignments/homework: if there is a daily assignment/homework it will be posted on the board. It will be your responsibility to write the assignment down and check the due date. #ChecktheBoard Materials: Be responsible and bring all materials to class.
